I love the elements of this style.



Does anyone else remember Kirsten Hollister's home from Oprah's Design Challenge with Nate Berkus?



 I think Kirsten's home was the first home I had seen that had composition of the raw wood and grainsacks and natural elements, i.e. the Belgian look.  











Her website Boho Belgian has a link to the original magazine article in O at Home.  She later did an article with Better Homes and Gardens which some of the above images are from. To my knowledge, she started the Belgian style design movement.  I would say that her home is my original design inspiration.  I love the use of neutrals, linen, burlap, and natural elements and find it very calming.  These photos are from 2007/2008 and I still love them.  What are your thoughts?

    I so clearly remember seeing her home in O magazine. I had never seen anything like it and I was smitten!!
