This property caught my eye the last time we were here. The gate color...LOVE that green against the brick. The plant combinations in the planters were a perfect complement.
Loved this one so much I needed to study it closely!
Ok, let's keep going! Along with the window boxes were lots of beautiful planters.
Loved this bold coral-pink door color and that little brass handrail!
The window boxes complemented it perfectly. Loved that they coordinated but had variety.
Back at The Battery.
After my solo stroll, we reunited for lunch at Fleet Landing. This has become one of our non-negotiables when visiting Charleston. My boys always get the Low Country Seafood Gumbo. I always seem to get the Crab Cake Sandwich, and we always split an order of fried green tomatoes, lol. I'm getting hungry just writing about it! There's a lot of construction going on down here, but we usually park in the garage across the street for about $2/hr.
After lunch, we strolled a bit more near East Bay Street which has more businesses than residential. But the planter game is still strong. Coming back to our car, we made sure to walk along Waterfront Park to stop by the Pineapple Fountain.
Loved the palette coordination here...that copper drain pipe.
This blue trimwork/aesthetic was one of my absolute favorites.
Can you even...I mean?
It was so refreshing to see all this beauty in plant combinations. Literally, every street you turn down, every nook and cranny is planted with something. I've got to come back to share the gates and facades, the driveways and walkways, and a beautiful garden walk thru.
